Special Education Support Services
SGC offers Special Education Support Services to represent the best interests of the student in the educational process. We assist parents/caregivers interpret the meaning of assessments and reports to parents, and explain their significance to the child's educational needs. These services offer encourage understanding, coaching, and educating parents, families, and caregiver to be inclusive in the education efforts in relationship to the school community.
Services include:
Education Planning
1:1 Parent Coaching Session
Group Planning Session
PPT meeting support (F2F/virtual/telephonic)
Special Education Advocacy
Transitional Planning- Direct support for community- based instruction and other transition-related activities
Provide guidance to parents /district with recommendation districts for students transitioning to post-secondary settings
Updates on laws, regulations, rules, policies and procedures
